The Poppy Lady Book Launch

My very first book signing of The Poppy Lady was held on September 22, 2012, at BookTowne in Manasquan, New Jersey, on a weather perfect first day of fall. It was an amazing day, and I loved every second!

I want to thank everyone who made the day a wonderful success, especially my family and friends for their encouragement and support; the staff at BookTowne~Rita Maggio, owner, Maribeth Pelly, event planner, and Janice Shannon, bookseller, for hosting the launch party; and members of VFW Post #1838. You reminded me of why it was so important to write Moina’s story.

I also want to thank the people who were unable to attend but sent their good wishes. It took eight long years to research and write The Poppy Lady, so you can imagine the wonderful contacts I’ve made along the way. From across the mainland to Hawaii, into Canada, England and New Zealand.

And a huge thank you to Chris, Rita, and Maribeth for capturing the special moments. I hope you enjoy the photos.
